FAQ

1. I love these keyboards! Where can I get one?

Many of the keyboards listed here were only available during limited group buys in previous months. Your best bet is to check r/mechmarket for listings or to request your particular model.

It's also good to keep tabs on your favorite designers as they will likely release new group buys in the near future. Good luck!

2. Why are these keyboards so darn expensive!?

The world of custom mechanical keyboards is a niche but quickly growing community. Most boards are sold through pre-order 'Group Buys' with very limited supplies, usually with no more than 50-100 available units. Keyboards are also very expensive to manufacture and include many complex processes including PCB design, case milling, treatment procedures, and more.

The result is a very unique and top-quality product that is unrivaled by anything you can buy on Amazon or at Best Buy. These will last you a lifetime and completely transform your daily experience.

3. There are so many options! How do I choose my 'endgame'?

Since most custom boards are only available through pre-order, it can be tough to really decide on a unit or color choice. The best ways to decide are 1. try out various boards and even prototypes at keyboard meetups, 2. join designer + vendor Discord chatrooms and Geekhack forums to learn more about any board, and 3. watch streamers as they build the boards that you're interested in.

4. I'm really enjoying the info on SLeeK. Where can I get more of this good stuff?

We've got a lot in store for the keyboard enthusiasts out there. Sign up for our newsletter and follow our Instagram for more on our upcoming activities and developing resources. Thanks for stopping by!

Mechanical keyboards changed my life. Up until a year ago, I was working up to 16 hours a day on my Macbook Pro and suffering through pains in my wrists and hands. A friend introduced me to mechanical boards and building/designing them quickly became my favorite passion. Knowing what I know now about how much mechanical keyboards affect one's daily life, I've wanted to create something for the community that helps more prospective enthusiasts to enter the space and transform their daily typing.

SLee Keyboards, "SLeek," is a new resource to follow the latest and greatest keyboards on the market now. My goal is to make the hobby as accessible as possible through comprehensive info and upcoming events that make it easier to reach your endgame.
If you're a designer, vendor, streamer, builder, or someone with a great idea, please do reach out through our email. Thank you everyone for your support!
